Prison Alliance

We all know that Jesus gave all humanity a second chance when He shed His blood on the cross and died to pay our sin debt. His resurrection and ultimate ascension into heaven meant we would have a second chance. Prison Alliance works with pastors and prison chaplains to share the Good News of Jesus with men and women whose bad decisions landed them in prison.

Prison Alliance collects and distributes Bibles and spiritual literature to prisoners in 31 countries around the world. Once men and women make a decision to accept Jesus as Savior, Prison Alliance follows up with correspondence Bible studies for inmates who desire to learn more from God’s Word.

In 2023, MCBC began our third year of partnering with Prison Alliance with prayer, financial support, and by collecting spiritual materials for distribution. In addition, church members have the opportunity to interact with prisoners involved in the correspondence Bible studies. We embrace this ministry as a partial fulfillment of Christ’s mission, as stated in Isaiah 61:1-3.

We find that church members feel a tenderness for men or women who have been locked away because of sins committed against society. Our heart is to help them, by the power of God, to escape the chains of sin and find abundant life offered by Jesus. Maybe the Lord has a place for you in this ministry.

If you would like to see people be successful with a second chance at life and a desire to see God’s Kingdom grow, come and join us.
