Mission to Haiti (MTH)

Jesus gave the directive for His followers to be a witness for Him in all the world (Acts 1:8). Mission To Haiti has operated as a missionary organization in Haiti for over 35 years with the primary purpose of advancing the Kingdom of God in Haiti. MTH partners with local Haitian churches to provide Christian education for Haiti’s children.

Since the Haitian government offers few educational opportunities, church-supported schools are vital to educating Haiti’s children. By partnering with church schools, doors are opened for sharing the Gospel message with children and their families. Education is a means for helping Haitian children escape the grip of poverty, but more importantly, it is the link to helping children read and study God’s Word.

MTH maintains a full-time ministry from a secure compound located in Haiti’s capital Port Au Prince. This compound houses a medical clinic staffed with a doctor and nurse. In addition, the facility serves as a safe home away from home for missionary teams throughout the year. Due to current gang activity in Haiti, hosting mission teams has ceased for a time.

Their sponsorship program funds school operating expenses, student meals, and routine health exams. In addition to providing support for education, Mission To Haiti raises funds for special projects such as digging wells, providing food for church families, and construction projects. Donations from American churches made it possible to purchase 18 tons of rice and beans that fed over 2000 school families from the sponsored schools.

McCullers is currently directing our support to a church school in L’Estère, Haiti. Due to rapid church growth, the number of students in the school has doubled. Not surprisingly, additional church facilities and equipment are needed to accommodate the growth. It is exciting to see God’s Kingdom grow.

Recently, MCBC directed funds to L’Estère for building additional desks for the students. We pray the Lord will continue to help provide for the needs of these Haitian churches. Sharing God’s love, in both Word and deed, with our brothers and sisters in Haiti is our joy. Pray for the Lord’s continued blessing on this effort.
